We purchased our first Dachshund together in early 1989. Eva was a smooth dapple "Eva" and the apple of our eyes with possibly every fault known to Dachshunds!

Eva never suspected she had any short comings at all! She was an excellent hunter, quickly earning a field championship and rising to #6 Field Dachshund in national rankings. She was also an avid Earth dog, earning her AWTA certificate of gameness and a leg towards her senior earth dog title while being handled by our daughter who was  only 8 at the time.

Over and above any of her accomplishments she was our beloved companion, causing us to fall forever head over heels in love with this spirited, loving and wonderfully versatile breed.

It didn't take us long to figure out that we wanted to be more involved and that one Dachshund was definitely not enough!

Later in 1989 we purchased our first "Show dog" under the guise of a companion to keep Eva company, and we were off.... hook, line & sinker.

Since our beginnings in the sport of pure bred dogs we have completed many championships , won at multiple national specialty shows and have had several top 5 nationally ranked Dachshunds,  including a number 1 Dachshund , all coats. 

Although the dogs are a huge part of our lives, they are not the only thing in our lives.  They are what we do, not who we are.

We enjoy our family and friends, our fancy chickens, garden and landscape projects when we are not participating in dog events.

We are fortunate enough to live in a beautiful home on 5 peaceful acres just across the Puget Sound from Seattle.
