Souvie  was our second “once in a lifetime” show dog.  He is owned by Robert and Jean Burnett and co owned by us  and  was the first dog handled by Robert Burnett.  Highlights of his career include:


  1. •Number one Dachshund, all coats in Breed 2005

  2. •Top Miniature Dachshund all coats in Breed and All Breed 2004, and in Breed 2005

  3. •Top 5 Longhaired Dachshund in Breed and All Breed 2004 and 2006

  4. •Best Opposite Sex to Variety at Westminster Kennel Club 2006, Award of Merit Westminster 2004 and 2005

  5. •Award of Merit at AKC-Eukanuba 2003, 2004 and 2005

  6. •Multiple Hound Group One in All Breed dog shows

  7. •Best of Variety Dachshund Club of America National Specialty 2006

  8. •Award of Merit Dachshund Club of America National Specialty 2005 and 2006

  9. •Best Opposite Sex to Variety  Dachshund Club of America National Specialty 2003

  10. •Top Owner Handled Longhair 2003 and 2004

  11. •Top Owner Handled all coats 2005

  12. •Multiple Best in Specialty Show wins

  13. •Best Stud Dog, all coats, Dachshund Club of America National Specialty Show 2008


To say that we are merely proud of these achievements would be a huge understatement.  Souvie  is a remarkable dog.  With Bob as his handler they made a compelling team.  At the time of his retirement in 2006, Souvie was the top winning miniature longhaired Dachshund in the history of the breed.  We are so fortunate to have Bob and Jean in our lives
